My name is Ashley, I am 21, and I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Charlotte, NC. I am a junior at NC State University, studying Textile Technology Design. Though nothing beats the sweet southern comforts of home, I am excitedly spending a semester living and studying in Prague, Czech Republic!
Here are 16 Totally Random Facts About Me:
1. Turquoise
has been my favorite color for as long as I can remember.
2. There are certain cds that I can play on repeat for months, and never grow tired of listening to them.
3. I much prefer dogs over cats. I tried once, but cannot be swayed otherwise.
4. I find ice-cream trucks extremely creepy.
5. There
are three things that I really really cannot stand, the first being styrofoam.
Nothing can make me cringe more quickly than hearing the awful sound that styrofoam makes.
Even the touch can send shrills up my back. I am not a fan. I also strongly dislike
the smell of Goo-Gone. No amount of soap or scrubbing can get that smell off
your hands. It’s just horrible. Finally, I think olives are the worst foods
ever. Green or black, it doesn’t matter, they are gross.
6. I have
a small “bucket list.” These aren’t things I’m actively pursuing, but if I ever get the opportunity, I WILL do these things:
- See the Northern Lights (inspired by Balto)
- Go dog sledding (inspired by Balto)
- Play paintball
- Ride a mechanical bull
- Attempt the Gallon Challenge with a group of friends (I don’t actually think I can do it, I just think it would be hilarious.)
7. I can eat a tremendous amount of peanut butter in one sitting.
8. I
rarely match my socks.
9. I
absolutely love any kind of crafting, but painting and quilting are my
favorites.
10. Cookeville,
TN is the ONLY place I can be content with being bored. It is also my favorite
place in the world.
11. Though
I would never want to shoot a deer or strangle a chicken, I've always wanted to learn how to skin a buck and pluck a chicken.
12. I am
perpetually cold, and cannot sleep unless I am wearing socks.
13. I am happiest when I am surrounded by good friends or family. Or
both!
14. Though
I struggle with this everyday, I am trying to live a life that is glorifying to
our Lord and Savior.
15. The
last time I felt like I really knew what I wanted to be when I grow up, was in
elementary school when I wanted to be a farmer.
16. I am
horrible at pool, but excellent at Boggle.
