Česky Krumlov

Just a short day and a half upon returning from the UK, I set off again to the Czech country side, where our school spent the weekend in Česky Krumlov. By now, I am sure that you (if there are any readers left) are getting tired of reading my endless posts. And to be honest, I am getting slightly tired of writing these endless posts (seeing as I am NOT a writer). So, from here on out I will make it brief and to the point! Phew!

On our way to Česky, we stopped by a castle (aka, castle #1).

Right outside the caste, was a wild peacock just hanging out in the trees! So cool!

We then took a river cruise to castle #2...

We then arrived in ČESKY KRUMLOV!!
The town is one of the most unique places I have ever been, and feels like much of it is still stuck in the Mid Evil times. We ate dinner in this dark cave of a restaurant that was all about meat, meat, meat...and beer.
After dinner we walked around town, which was really fun/creepy. It was the kind fun in which we were all creeping each other out so much, that all we could do was laugh. You see, the movie Hostel, a horror film, was filmed here and I quickly realized that this place is the PERFECT place for a horror movie. Everything was abandoned, yet there were spotlights on almost every building. The buildings that weren't abandoned all closed at about six. There were cats roaming every street and to add to the creepy factor, it was....Friday the 13th! Dun...Dun...Dun...

This was Castle #3
Day two in Česky, a big group of us went HORSEBACK RIDING!! We rode through the Czech mountains, and it brought me back summer memories. I have spent my summers in Colorado taking kids on horseback rides trough the mountains, so this was one of my favorite activities! It was a gorgeous ride, and if felt so good to get back on a horse!!
On our way home from our weekend in the country, we stopped at castle #4. This one we actually toured the entire inside. Castles are really really cool, don't get me wrong, but I think I have seen enough for a while!
Then we stopped in Budweis, and took a tour of the Budweiser Budvar brewery. Not to be confused with the American Budweiser (a sensitive topic with the Czechs), Budvar is Czech beer that is distributed to over 50 countries world wide.
